As our main office is located in Surfers Paradise, living and working on the Gold Coast is a privilege we never take for granted. From stunning beaches to vibrant nightlife, this slice of paradise offers something for everyone. As locals, we’ve discovered some hidden gems and favourite spots that make the Gold Coast truly special.
Beaches
Let’s start with the obvious – the beaches. The Gold Coast is renowned for its pristine stretches of sand and rolling waves. The Gold Coast consists of 70 kilometres of coastline with some of the most popular surf breaks. Whether you’re a surfer catching the early morning swell or simply soaking up the sun, there’s a beach for you. The Gold Coast has three iconic surf beaches that attract surfers from all around the world: Burleigh Heads, Snapper Rocks, and Kirra Beach. These beaches have been used for international surfing competitions and are famous for their long rides and clear blue waters. In summer the average sea temperature ranges from 25.4 – 27.1°C, and dips in winter to 21.5 – 22.6°C so its always warm enough for a post-work dip!
Burleigh Sunsets
There’s something magical about watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of pink and gold. And Burleigh Heads offers some of the most breathtaking sunsets on the coast. Grab a picnic blanket, a few cold drinks, and settle in for nature’s nightly show. The view from Burleigh Hill is unbeatable, with the silhouette of the iconic Burleigh Heads National Park adding to the view. The hill is always busy and especially on a weekend so get there early to get a good spot!
Mount Tamborine Wineries
Just a short drive in from the coast lies Mount Tamborine, a lush hinterland dotted with wineries, boutique shops, and stunning lookouts. Wine enthusiasts will feel right at home sampling the region’s award-winning drops, while foodies can indulge in gourmet delights at the local cafes and restaurants. Our favourite way to spend a day here? Wine tasting at one of the many cellar doors followed by a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village.
Pink Flamingo Shows
For a night out with a twist, head to the Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub in Broadbeach. This vintage-inspired cabaret venue offers a dazzling array of performances, from acrobatics to comedy and everything in between.
